HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Pig Brig Trap Systems today announced it will host a free webinar designed to help landowners and land managers understand how to build and carry out a feral hog management plan. “A Step-by-Step Approach to Feral Hog Management” takes place Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET.

For someone seeing hogs on a trail camera for the first time or dealing with recurring damage to a pasture, yard or food plot, knowing where to start can be difficult. The webinar will explain what to learn before setting a trap and how observation, preparation and a consistent routine fit into the management process.

“A trail camera photo tells you pigs are there, but there is more to learn before deciding what to do next,” said Aaron Sumrall, Ph.D., Director of Outreach, Education and Research at Pig Brig. “Understanding when they visit, how they behave and how they respond to changes helps you make sure you get the whole sounder. We want landowners to leave this webinar knowing where to start and what to watch for as they move forward.”

Sumrall will lead the discussion alongside Abby Good of the Pig Brig Trap Support team. Sumrall spent more than 20 years with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension working with landowners on feral pig management. Good brings experience from helping landowners work through the day-to-day questions that arise during the trapping process.

The session will walk through the phases of a management plan, beginning with trail cameras and the information they provide before a trap is set. From there, the discussion will cover conditioning, why patience matters during that stage and how to maintain a consistent routine as the effort progresses toward capture.

Participants will also learn about baiting options, when to use them and considerations for avoiding non-target animals such as deer, raccoons and turkeys. Throughout the discussion, the presenters will explain how to use observations to respond thoughtfully to changes in pig behavior.

The webinar is intended to provide an accessible starting point for people who are new to feral hog management, while helping those already managing hogs review their approach. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions about their own situations.
The one-hour webinar is free, and registration is required. For additional information or to register for “A Step-by-Step Approach to Feral Hog Management,” visit the webinar registration page.
