Esteworld Publishes New Planning Guide

ISTANBUL, TR — August 19, 2026 — Esteworld Health Group has published a new planning guide for international patients considering a hair transplant, following industry findings that show growing demand and a younger first-time patient profile. The guide aims to address an information gap identified in recent data from the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).

The latest ISHRS Practice Census found that the average number of patients treated per participating member increased by 20% between 2021 and 2024. It also reported that 95% of first-time hair restoration surgery patients in 2024 were between 20 and 35 years old.

Industry Data Highlights Younger Patient Profile

The census was conducted by independent research company Relevant Research Consulting and compiled historical information provided by participating physicians. ISHRS reported a margin of error of plus or minus 5.4% at the 95% confidence level. The findings underscore a shift in hair restoration demographics, with younger adults increasingly seeking treatment.

This younger patient profile raises an important planning issue. Pattern hair loss can continue after surgery, while the number of follicles available in the donor area is limited. An early procedure should therefore be considered in relation to possible future hair loss rather than assessed only by the number of grafts proposed for a single session.

Key Considerations for Younger Patients

For younger adults in particular, the initial plan may influence both donor appearance and the options available if further treatment is considered later. Esteworld’s newly published guide responds to this information gap by outlining the questions patients should ask before travelling for a hair transplant in Turkey.

These include how candidacy is assessed, how donor capacity is measured, who is medically responsible for each stage and what follow-up is available after the patient returns home. The resource also explains that terms such as FUE, DHI and Sapphire FUE describe parts of the extraction or implantation process; they do not independently establish whether an approach is suitable for a particular patient.

Method Selection and Written Plans

Method selection should follow an assessment of the hair-loss pattern, donor density, existing hair, scalp characteristics and longer-term objectives. Patients are advised to request a written treatment plan identifying the professionals involved, the proposed graft distribution and the services included in the quotation.

The guide also recommends treating guaranteed density, graft-survival promises and visual simulations with caution. Before-and-after photographs may help illustrate previous work, but they cannot predict an individual result.

Expert Commentary

Commenting on the census results, ISHRS President Ricardo Mejia, MD, FISHRS, said: “People experiencing hair loss are no longer waiting until middle age to find effective solutions from trusted experts.”

The complete guide is available on Esteworld’s website. It is provided for general education and does not replace diagnosis or a consultation with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. Hair transplantation is not suitable for everyone, and outcomes, recovery and potential risks vary by patient.
